Sport Floor System – Cushion Court is an outdoor flexible acrylic sports flooring system designed for tennis, basketball, volleyball, handball, football, and other outdoor sports courts.
The system consists of a combination of wet-pour acrylic coatings with a total average thickness of 3.5 mm and is identified in the document as a system by the International Tennis Federation (I.T.F.).
System Components
1. CHEMGUARD-P – Acrylic Primer
CHEMGUARD-P is used as the primer for the acrylic coating system and is applied using an airless sprayer or brush. The surface is primed until saturated while avoiding puddles.
Consumption: 200–300 g/m², depending on substrate absorption.
2. CHEMGUARD-RESURF – Acrylic Resurfacer

3. CHEMGUARD – Acrylic Sports Floor Coating
The acrylic sports floor coating is made from acrylic, elastic and non-slip materials, incorporating quartz sand, acrylic resins and a unique enhancer.
It is applied in two or more coatings by squeegee or roller, depending on the desired thickness.
Consumption: Approximately 1.5 kg/m² for 3 layers.

Application Requirements
The system should be applied only to dry asphalt and concrete surfaces more than 30 days old, without rising humidity and free from dust, loose particles, grease, and other materials that could prevent proper bonding.
For extremely rough or sharp cement or asphalt surfaces, the document recommends grinding with a mosaic machine or sandblasting before applying CHEMGUARD-RESURF.
Weather & Protection
For temperatures above 40°C, the recommended application period is between 22:00 and 09:00. The minimum bearing temperature during application and drying should be above 10°C.
Freshly coated surfaces should be protected from high temperatures, wind, rain and frost for at least 24 hours.

Substrate Requirements
Asphalt
The document states that asphalt is the preferred subfloor for sports flooring. It should have a 0.7–1% slope and dry for at least 30 days. The asphalt subfloor should be placed over a well-compacted 150 mm road base, with asphalt laid in one layer of 6–8 cm.
Concrete
Concrete should be power-trowelled, smooth and crack-free, with a 0.7–1% slope and moisture content below 4% at 10 cm depth. It should be dry for at least 40 days and checked for rising humidity before application.
