Product Overview
Sport Floor System – Hard Court is a medium-hard acrylic sports flooring system designed for outdoor sports courts. The system uses acrylic, elastic and non-slip materials incorporating quartz sand, acrylic resins and a unique enhancer to create a durable sports surface.
The system is suitable for tennis, basketball, volleyball, handball, football and other outdoor sports courts, with an average combined wet-pour acrylic coating thickness of approximately 2.2 mm. The system is identified in the document as International Tennis Federation (I.T.F.) – Class 4.
System Components
The system is built through successive coating stages:
1. CHEMGUARD-P – Acrylic Primer
Used as the primer for the acrylic coating system to provide proper adhesion to the sub-floor. It is applied using an airless sprayer or brush, with consumption of approximately 200–300 g/m², depending on substrate absorption.
2. CHEMGUARD-RESURF – Acrylic Resurfacer
The acrylic resurfacer consists of quartz sand, acrylic resins and a unique enhancer. It is used to smooth the surface and seal the porosity of the asphalt substrate. It is applied in two or more crossing layers, with consumption of approximately 2 kg/m² for two layers.
3. Acrylic Sports Coating
Following the resurfacer, the acrylic sports coating is applied in two crossing layers. The document specifies application by squeegee or roller, with consumption of approximately 1.5 kg/m² for three layers.
Application
The system should be applied only to dry asphalt or concrete surfaces that are more than 30 days old, without rising humidity and free from dust, loose particles, grease and other materials that could prevent proper bonding. Proper substrate preparation is essential for successful application.
For extremely rough or sharp cement or asphalt surfaces, grinding with a mosaic machine or sandblasting is recommended before applying the resurfacer.

Maximum Thickness

Substrate Requirements
Asphalt
The document recommends asphalt as the preferred subfloor for sports flooring. It should have a 0.7–1% slope and be allowed to dry for at least 30 days. The asphalt should be laid over a well-compacted 150 mm road base, with the asphalt laid in one layer of approximately 6–8 cm.
Concrete
Concrete should be power-trowelled, smooth and crack-free, with a 0.7–1% slope and moisture content below 4% at 10 cm depth. The document specifies that concrete should be dry for at least 40 days and recommends proper surface grinding and humidity measurement before application.
Weather & Protection
For temperatures above 40°C, the recommended application period is between 22:00 and 09:00, with the minimum substrate temperature during application and drying above 10°C.
Freshly coated surfaces should be protected from high temperatures, wind, rain and frost for at least 24 hours.
